Advent Project

It’s that time of year again! For the last six years, we’ve partnered with some teachers in the San Bernardino Unified School District to provide food for some of their neediest families. Most of their students receive two meals a day from the school, which means the three weeks of Winter Break is scary. Instead of looking forward to Christmas with family and a break from school, many of these children face anxiety about food. Each year, we’ve helped to fill the gap.

This year, deliveries will go out on Sunday (the 17th) or a day or two afterwards. We provide you with a name, address, and phone number so that you can arrange a convenient drop-off time. Shop for the family (here’s our suggested shopping list, and we recommend buying everything at the Ranch Market) and then bring it at the arranged time.

We strongly encourage joining with other folks in the church as you do your deliveries. We’ll also have several Spanish-speakers at church on Sunday if you need any help calling the families. If you weren’t at church on Sunday and would like to make a delivery, email Jon asap and he’ll get you contact and a personal letter from the student. Thank you partnering with us this Advent Season!
