9th February, 2010
This Spring, during the season of Lent and anticipation of Easter, we will continue our series on the life and character of Jesus. When Jesus calls us to come and follow, we are not signing up for a moral system or a free ticket to heaven, but a giving of our hearts. How can we do that if we don’t trust him, and how can we trust him if we don’t know him? Come, join us this season of Lent as we get to know him, that we might trust him with our hearts and lives.

December 13 - We will be at Forest Home for a Christmas banquet.
December 20 - Our Christmas service at Jon and Lindsey’s home (email us for directions!).
December 27 - A worship service, also at Jon & Lindsey’s home.
On the first Sunday in January, we will celebrate 3 years of ministry and have a grand opening at our new location in downtown Redlands! More details coming soon…

IMPORTANT! We will not be meeting at our normal location on Sunday, August 30th. On this Sunday, we will be making a pilgrimage to Life Covenant Church in beautiful Torrance, CA. Almost 3 years ago, Life sent us out to Redlands to begin planting Restoration. Because of Life’s generosity with their resources and wisdom, we were able to begin Restoration.
We will be meeting at Oasis at noon to carpool down to the beach. At 4:30, we will go to a BBQ at a home in beautiful Rancho Palos Verdes. After dinner together, we will have a time of worship and baptism with Life before heading home. The cost is free, although we encourage everyone to bring $5 to pay for gas. It will be a lot of fun. Hope to see you there!

We are connecting our community to each other in a very tangible way through Facebook. We want to continue the conversations that happen on Sundays, provide a place to tell stories of how God is working through us, and connect more throughout the week. Head on over to Facebook and check us out.

7th April, 2009
This week, as we reflect on the cross and (especially) the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we will have two special services.
This Friday, we will be having a special Good Friday service. While we are just a little over 2 years old, Good Friday has become one of our best traditions. Our service will be about a liturgical service that will run about an hour long. There is rich symbolism and responsive readings as we reflect on the cross together. The service will be held in our room at Oasis at 7pm, and child care will be provided.
On Sunday, we will have a sunrise service at 6:45am at Sylvan Park (click here for a map). Look for us in the back of the park, near the playground. Afterwards we will have breakfast together at Jon & Lindsey’s home (right around the corner from the park). We would love to have you celebrate with us!

We want our church to be more than just a weekly worship service. Our visions statement is, “Following Jesus as a family for the good of the world.” We believe that separating following Jesus from serving in our communities is impossible. We also believe that finding the connection to a community that we all deeply desire is the product of a church that is moving forward in God’s mission. God loves justice and is actively restoring Redlands and the Inland Empire; we want to join what God is already doing.
While we can’t do everything, we have found a few things that we hope are making a difference. A few things we are doing are…
- Delivering food to HIV+ families in our community
- Distributing food out of Joseph’s Storehouse on Wednesday mornings
- Big Brother/Big Sister programs with local foster-care group homes
- Supporting single moms
There is room for more! If you are passionate about being Jesus’ hands and feet in our great city, we would love to meet you! Email Jon for more info!

27th January, 2009
This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday! This Sunday we will be meeting at 11pm at The Blessing Center. Directions can be found here. The Blessing Center is located on the corner of Church Street and Stewart Ave. The simplest way to get there from Orange Street is to turn right on Colton Ave, then right on Church Street. It is on the right, just after you pass under the freeway. We will have signs out to help you find us.
Also that evening, after the Super Bowl is over and we are all feeling the effects of too many hot wings and bean dip, we are having a bike ride! Meet at Oasis Church at 9pm for a fairly leasurely ride around Redlands. Hope to see you then!

Our small groups are focused around community service. There are three areas of service we are focusing on this year: bringing food to people in the 3rd stage of HIV/Aids, mentoring young men in a local group home, and supporting single moms. Groups will serve both in our community and each other. We feel that discipleship happens as we are moving forward in mission together in our community. If you are interested in joining one of our small groups, please email jon.
