We are a confessional church
We do not have a statement of beliefs. Instead, we confess the core creeds of that unite Christians around the world. We major on the majors so that the minor issues don’t divide us.
I know. Easier said than done. Minor does not mean unimportant; it only means that it does not compare to what unites us. At Restoration, everything revolves around Jesus. The rest is open for a conversation.
An Open Hand
There is an awful lot of talk about how divided we are. However, the number of people who want division is very, very small. Most want a space to grow through listening and hearing ideas that may challenge us. Life is too big and wonderful to be trapped in silos of ‘conservative’ or ‘liberal.’ Jesus is too big for those categories, and while many of us have strong convictions about very important issues, it is never at the expensive disunity and division. Jesus really is enough.
